Competing at the elite level since he was 16 years old, Aussie Joe Gambles has an impressive professional resume including 18 victories, a bronze medal at the 2013 Ironman 70.3 World Championships, and a win at his debut Ironman. Gambles handles himself professionally and with integrity on and off the race course. Coupled with a laid back attitude and great sense of humor, he is often seen joking with fellow athletes in transition before a race. The media and fans have dubbed him “Smokin’ Joe” because he packs some major heat, with a killer bike-to-run combination that makes him a threat for the win every time he lines up.
